About:
For the artwork "Animal FLow", an ink drawing was made by hand on a 120x40 cm paper as a drawing for a 12x4 m mural. It shows the transformation of sea creatures to land animals and finally to flying creatures, with about a third of the drawing dedicated to each animal kingdom. The work was created specifically for a children's study center and illustrates the message that everything in the world is connected. This visual journey through evolution and the interlocking ecosystems of our earth serves as a vivid reminder of the complexity and beauty of life on our planet.
Early sketches:
The mural is divided into three segments, each dedicated to a different type of animal, creating a visual narrative that flows seamlessly across the wall. The design emphasizes the movement and unique characteristics of each animal, representing their habitats and behaviors through artistic expression.
The left third of the mural features aquatic creatures, the middle part is home to forest wildlife, and the right third displays birds in flight. Each segment transitions smoothly into the next, illustrating the interconnectedness of different animal realms.
The mural is located on a public building, intended to enrich the local area and offer an engaging visual story to passersby. It serves not only as a piece of art but also as an educational tool that highlights the diversity of wildlife.
"Animal Flow" has been well-received for its vibrant depiction of wildlife and its ability to transform a plain wall into a captivating piece of public art.
